BEAR RIVER HEALTH DEPT Public Health Nurse in LOGAN, Utah

Full and Part time positions available..and.nbsp;Summary of Duties:Under the general supervision of the Director of nursing and according to the Ten Essential Public Health Services provides health services at the Bear River Health Logan office and within the Bear River Health District..and.nbsp; Will work in the following program areas.and.middot;.and.middot;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp; Immunization program.and.middot;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp; Communicable disease control program.and.middot;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp; Client and patient privacy laws compliance.and.middot;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp; Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications - Education, Experience .and.amp; Licensing:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in nursing.ANDTwo (2) years post-graduate experience in nursing field.ANDMust have a current RN license from the State of Utah. Must have current CPR certification or be able to obtain.Substitutions: Additional years of post-graduate experience in nursing field for Bachelor's Degree..and.nbsp;.and.bull; Associates Degree in nursing Four (4) additional years of experience requiredMinimum Qualifications - Necessary Knowledge, Skills .and.amp; Abilities:Considerable knowledge of public health nursing. Common public and community health care resources. Social and economic factors influencing individual and community health. Differing cultural, religious and social attitudes about hygiene, family planning, child care, and health treatment. Proper handling of contaminated items. Causes, control, detection, prevention and treatment of common communicable diseases, environmental illnesses, sexually transmitted diseases, and food-water-borne illnesses.Must be skilled in computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, desk top publishing, and email use. Must have good written, verbal, and public communication skills. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, other agencies, and the community. Must be able to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work well in team situations, meet deadlines, and be able to work independently on a day-to-day basisSpecial Qualifications:Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Utah Driver License at the time of employment. Must be able to provide own transportation. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to perform strenuous activities requiring flexibility, stamina, and overall general good health. Must have a flexible schedule, available for scheduled work in the evening and-or weekends as job requires. Must be able to pass a full criminal background check and drug screening test.
