Intermountain Healthcare CV Imaging/Cath Lab Director - Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah

Job Description:

To manage all functions of the Catheterization Laboratories within the Central Region to ensure high quality service and efficient operations. This position also directs image quality measurements, vendor service expectations, equipment acquisition initiatives, and installation projects for Intermountain Healthcare.


This position reports to the CR Cardiovascular Operations Director working with the Cath Lab Medical and Research Directors, as well as the Intermountain Healthcare CV Clinical Program Medical Director and Operations Officer. The incumbent is part of the CR Cardiovascular Summit Leadership Team which oversees planning, goal setting, measurement, improvement teams and communication for the cardiovascular clinical program.

Job Essentials

Interviews and hires staff and develops the orientation plan.

Performs employee evaluations.

Counsels and disciplines employees as needed through the constructive discipline process including termination.

Provides productive and informative in-services & training for employees.

Determines and oversees employee work schedules.

Responsible to ensure there is accurate, timely payroll processing.

Develops and maintains a 5-year strategic plan for Cath Lab and EP services.

Identifies problem areas, i.e., poor utilization of materials or personnel, and develops an implementation plan for any changes that may be necessary.

Responsible for correct procedure scheduling, medical necessity, coding, billing and reimbursement.

Develops operating budgets and capital budgets as a member of the CV Leadership Team.

Responsible for implementing quality assurance and education programs.

Acts as an advisor during all Intermountain Healthcare Cath Lab construction and installation projects.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.

Registered Cardiopulmonary Technologist.

Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Registered Cardiopulmonary Technologist.

  • and -

Five years of clinical experience.

  • and -

Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.

  • and -

Three years of management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree.

Experience in strategic planning including developing and implementing standardized policies and procedures.

Experience managing clinical processes and leading change.
