Intermountain Healthcare CT Coordinator - Full Time - Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah

Job Description:

The CT Coordinator is responsible for providing quality Imaging services and for supervising the organizational, financial, quality, safe delivery, and review of Imaging services from a technical perspective to all patients.


Assists with the following in area of oversight:

HR functions (hire, evaluate, counsel, fire).

Manages expenses and resources to meet financial goals, and contributes to dept budget.

Leads company and department initiatives.

Job Essentials

Accountable for high quality diagnostic imaging services and images.

Responsible for controlling patient flow and providing the best patient care services possible.

Maintains positive relationships within the department and between other departments, Radiologists, referring physicians and customers.

Keeps equipment well maintained and properly functioning, trouble shoots as needed.

Ensures that quality images are submitted to the Radiologists.

Monitors drug reactions and event reports to ensure they are properly reported.

Implements and monitors quality assurance program, and maintains QA and equipment service records.

Oversees management of technical staff i.e. rad techs, orderlies, etc.

Prioritizes and assigns exams and patients so as to maintain a smooth flow of operation.

Ensures customer satisfaction.

Implements and monitors radiation safety programs for the department.

Reviews and makes recommendations for policy revisions that meet JCAHO, state and federal requirements.

Ensures that the department is well maintained and adequately stocked in order to avoid unnecessary delays.

Plans and conducts team meetings. Monitors staff and departmental mandatory in-service and skill pass-off requirements. Maintains annual departmental IV recertification / contrast competency requirements.

Assists with hiring, retaining, and motivating competent staff.

Maintains an accurate database to assure proper charge verification.

Minimum Qualifications

ARRT registration.

Current state Rad Tech License.

  • and -

Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

  1. 2 years supervisory experience.

  1. Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.Post hire expectation:1. Meets departmental IV certification competency requirement within three months of hire.

Five years of radiology experience.

Two years of supervisory experience.

Post hire expectation: Meets departmental IV certification competency requirement within three months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.

CT experience

Physical Requirements:

Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Seeing, Standing.
