Intermountain Healthcare Mammography Imaging Manager - Salt Lake Valley in Riverton, Utah
The Salt Lake Valley Mammography Imaging Manager is responsible for effectively leading mammography caregivers and skillfully managing the day-to-day operations and staffing of mammography services at Alta View Hospital, Intermountain Medical Center, LDS Hospital, Riverton Hospital, and Intermountain Mobile Mammography (North).
Responsible for assigned mammography Imaging Services and employees at Alta View Hospital, Intermountain Medical Center, LDS Hospital, Riverton Hospital, and Intermountain Mobile Mammography (North).
Responsible for assigned Imaging Services and employees at the designated facility.
Works to achieve cost effective, quality, and customer directed Imaging services for the facility.
Promotes and develops employee customer service skills and builds a culture of patient centered care and professionalism.
Schedules and ensures adequate staffing, skill mix, and competency to meet patient care needs.
Accountable for the effective management of human resource programs and maintaining a competent staff. Evaluates staff competency through use of performance evaluations, mandatory education requirements, staff meetings, employee counseling, and coaching and mentoring. Oversees the hiring process including interviewing and onboarding, as well as the employee disciplinary process and terminations.
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with facility leaders, radiologists, and staff.
Proactively identifies best practices and regulation changes in the imaging field and partners with system leaders to implement consistent practices at the facility.
Builds a cohesive Imaging team and establishes a high level of employee engagement.
Develops a financial plan including implementing and managing department budgets, capital budgets, and meeting established budget objectives. Appropriately utilizes staff and resources with an emphasis on expense control and cost savings.
Oversees and supports the establishment of best practice standards by collaborating with system leaders and colleagues at other facilities in a One Intermountain approach to support the ideal patient and employee experience.
Accountable to ensure that all assigned diagnostic and interventional radiology services are operated in a perpetually compliant manner with all State and Federal laws and Intermountain policies and procedures.
Supports the Intermountain Operating Model by working with others for continuous improvement.
Ensures that caregivers are competent operationally, clinically, and financially.
Develops and implements employee-retention strategies focusing on professional growth and development.
Provides effective leadership, supervision, and directs the work of assigned caregivers.
Ensures that down-time procedures and contingency plans are created, appropriate, educated to, and followed by caregivers when needed.
Ensures that equipment is available and functioning properly. Identifies and coordinates when repair or replacement of equipment is needed.
Demonstrates attributes of a life-long learner and great learning agility.
Bachelor's degree in a clinical or business field. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
Five years of progressive experience as an Imaging Services clinician or business leader.

Two years of supervisory experience.

Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and e-mail, and scheduling applications.
Licensed as a Radiologic Technologist in Utah.

Registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Interact with others requiring employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.

Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, and manipulate paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.

See and read computer monitors and documents.

Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
