The RN NICU Clinical Supervisor assumes responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions during the designated shift. Functions as a resource person for staff members and assist in necessary education of individual members of the nursing staff. They would also assume responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided when she/he is on duty. The Clinical Supervisor should make decisions regarding activities within these areas based on Administrative Operational Standards, Nursing Administrative Standards, Human Resource Standards and Standards of Care for the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.

_MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:_

_EDUCATION:_

BSN preferred, ADN required.

_EXPERIENCE:_

Minimum two (2) years RN NICU experience required, prefer three (3) years NICU experience. Leadership and management experience is highly desirable.

_LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:_

Current RN license for the state of Utah or RN compact license from participating compact states. American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification. ACLS (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) certification within 6 months.
