Intermountain Healthcare Project Manager-Strategy/Operations- Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah

Job Description:

Provides leadership for strategic planning, project facilitation, strategic analysis, and research at the request of Administration and Medical Staff Leadership. Ensures that hospital policies, procedures, activities and strategies are consistent with and coordinated with those of Intermountain Healthcare.

Job Essentials

Works on the development of major strategic projects with stakeholders.

Works on process flow for various service lines for the hospital.

Prioritize project request and focus resources on projects with the highest potential utility. Identifies project requirements and assign resources appropriately. Ensures that projects are completed on time.

Works with appropriate medical and hospital staff to develop program plans consistent with the hospital Strategic Plans and. assist in developing program evaluation criteria.

Makes service a priority by improving processes and systems using customer expectations and feedback, recognizes and values all stakeholders feedback.

Collaborates effectively across organizational boundaries, champions working together, creating synergy, efficiency and effectiveness, confronts conflict situations in a direct and honest manner.

Perform research as requested. Analyze and interpret facts/results using state-of-the-art research methods and techniques. Prepare meaningful reports that are easily to understand and are actionable.

Communicates effectively in written form, presents clearly and effectively in large group settings, communicates effective one on one and in small group settings, participates in presentation of project proposals.

Keeps abreast of new technology and industry trends to maintain cutting edge services.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree required. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.

Three years of experience with financial modeling, spreadsheets, presentations, computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail.

Demonstrated expertise in project planning and leading teams.

  • and -

Demonstrated experience in process improvement.

  • and -

Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • and -

Ability to facilitate interdisciplinary teams and to develop effective relationships with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

  • and -

Ability to work independently.

  • and -

Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in leading group discussions and working broadly throughout a healthcare organization with administration, hospital and medical staff.

  • and -

Project Management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.

  • and -

Experience at a tertiary care facility.

  • and -

Experience in an integrated healthcare delivery system.

  • and -

Experience in strategic planning.

Physical Requirements:

Seeing, Speaking, Hearing/Listening, Manual Dexterity.
