71229BR Vice President, CMO, Cerner Government Services Executive Job Description We are excited to announce a senior leadership opportunity on our growing federal team. As Chief Medical officer you will provide strategic clinical direction for our overall Federal business including the VA, DOD, Coast Guard, CDC and other markets. You will lead the development of the vision and strategy for the largest healthcare transformation in history. You will have accountability for clinical relationships within our federal client base and responsibility for connecting those clients to commercial and global transformation best practices and strategies so the government can take advantages of the latest innovations and lead the way in clinical delivery, population health management, public health infrastructure, research and innovation. You will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining senior political and agency relationships within Cerner's client base, prospects, and the overall health care industry to help drive the brand within markets. As a CMO you will be accountable for the leadership of cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to influence and execute clinical vision, objectives and strategy, and drive organizational and internal team initiatives including delivering on agency mission objectives as well as internal strategy and transformation KPIs. You will act as a leader and advisor in complex government discussions and processes both with congressional members and staff on the Hill and within senior levels of the largest government agencies by providing thought leadership on transformation. As a clinical expert you will be articulating clinical adoption benefits to clients and advise on best practices while leveraging the use of analytics to promote transformation strategies. You will lead strategies to help the government address underserved populations both with an analytical and population health approach to managing the care of patients. Rather than just simply addressing individual patients' needs on a visit-by-visit basis you will help drive strategies to leveraging a wealth of data and an expanded care team to proactively address the health needs of populations across the country both directly served by the largest agencies and those who get care in communities. Qualifications Basic Qualifications * MD or DO from an accredited academic institution or comparable clinical training * At least 15 years' experience within operations management and clinical or healthcare work * At least 7 years people management experience * Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position * Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen Preferred Qualifications * Medical Board Certification * Experience with Cerner systems Expectations * Active registration or license in a clinical discipline and has not been censured or forced to relinquish license due to impropriety * Willing to travel up to 80% as needed * Currently located in the DC area or...
